What is torrent or BitTorrent:
BitTorrent is a protocol that uses the Peer-to-peer file sharing technology, which allows you to download the desired media file such as music, movie, documents, programs...
When you use the peer-to-peer file sharing technology you download the media file from others computers which means that others can download the same file from your computer and that's how peer-to-peer file sharing works.
In order to download using BitTorrent you'll need a BitTorrent clients and there's many of them there's the official of BitTorrent Client from BitTorrent Inc, and the most known one is µTorrent.
Why do countries ban the Torrent:
Countries ban the torrent for the most big reason which is the Bandwidth, the Internet providers can suffer from a huge Bandwidth because of the Torrent downloading, and there's another reason which is the copyrights, because there's many torrent users and websites that seeds copyrighted files like films and music also books and programs.
How can I avoid the ban for free?
To avoid the ban there's two ways to day that can do that for you, the first way is to apply a proxy to the BitTorrent Client and this video will help you to do this with the right way:
