What we want!!
Yesterday, dozens of images of the upcoming Windows 9 (codename: Threshold) were unveiled by two German news sites, ComputerBase and WinFuture. They come from a trial version for partners ("Technical Preview Build 9834") and already show a number of new and improved.
The most dramatic concerns the Start menu, which totally revamped with a fluid mixture so the old design with the new (Modern UI). By clicking on the bottom left, as usual, a list of applications. The new Start Menu equipped with a mosaic design on which way Metro that you can pin favorite applications and arrange them with large or small icons.
WinFuture even made a short video which gives an idea of the ease of use.
We see also that the Modern UI applications can now be opened directly into the Desktop mode (window mode). They can be resized like a traditional desktop application. Note, too, the features that are now in the so-called "charms" bar are found in the case of a Desktop display in a drop-down menu.

The images also show the appearance of virtual desktops, as has long existed in the Linux or Mac OS universe. Adding a virtual desktop is only a click away. The different desks can be aligned at the bottom of the screen, when the user wants to switch from one to another. Finally, note the appearance of a Notification Center.
