Big processor, thin, reversible micro-USB ... technically, the new Nokia tablet N1 impressed. It runs on Android Lollipop, but inevitably recalls the iPad Mini and iPad Air.
After selling its smartphone division to Microsoft (Lumia), Nokia returns to the front of the high-tech scene with a new tablet running the latest version of Android 5.0, Lollipop. Need to reinvent the wheel: Nokia N1 shows the benefits of Apple's iPad, with a very similar design and especially for the first time, a charging socket reversible micro-USB 2.0. An outlet near the Lightning Californian interface, which can connect in both directions.
With its 7.9-inch screen in 4: 3, its thin edges and a thickness of 6.9 mm, the Nokia tablet N1 is thinner than Apple's smaller iPad. The display of the screen is the same definition (2048 x 1536 pixels), its manufacturing out of the "rolled" layers, with no space between the protective coating Gorilla Glass 3 and the LCD panel for better viewing angles, and less glare.
The whole weighs 318 grams (23 grams less than the Mini iPad 3), with a piece of anodized aluminum case, wherein there is a battery of 5300 mAh (18.5 Wh). Also note the presence of a Wolfson audio chip, deemed very efficient in terms of sound quality. The picture is provided by sensors 8-megapixel rear camera, and 5 megapixel camera on the front capable of shooting in Full HD.
The tablet is armed with a powerful Intel Atom Z3580 processor, integrated quad-core 64-bit 2.3 GHz and a PowerVR G6430 graphics processor. This could however be a fair bit 3D face in high definition screen ... It will also include 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage (no microSD slot), to run Android 5.0 and the overlay of the Finnish Nokia Z Launcher. However, it is unclear whether Android will be well in 64 bits.
No official date of availability, however, some speak of a late arrival on the market in February 2015 for a price of $ 249.
